Principal of the only Catholic year round school in Hawaii for girls grades 6 through 12, Sister Joan of Arc Souza recounts some of the unique features of this private school. It has an enrollment of 400 students and most of their graduates attend colleges and universities in Hawaii or on the west coast. Programs of study include: Honors/AP, college, Career and ESL (English as a second language. The study of Sign Language is part of its Foreign Studies. For the last three years, their Troubadour yearbook has won first place in their division.
State Championship Titles have been earned in Track & Field, Cross Country, Tennis, Softball, and Volleyball. ILH (Interscholastic League of Honolulu) championships have also been won in addition to these in: Basketball, Bowling, and Canoe Paddling. The ILH includes 23 private schools in Honolulu. When it is time to play, Sister notes there is always fun in the sun and the surf of Paradise!
