NUN-Edibles
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It's an event that can only be described as heavenly. The Sisters of St. Francis held their annual NUN-edibles evening Thursday, April 29 at the Franciscan Center on Grant Boulevard in Syracuse.
People were treated to everything from appetizers to dessert, mostly made by the sisters themselves. Money raised at the event goes to take care of the retired nuns.
"The fun part is it's good camaraderie with all of our friends and how they really love the sisters and are willing to do anything to do nice things for us," said development director Sister Elizabeth John Timson.
The Sisters of St. Francis are celebrating 150 years in the Diocese of Syracuse this year.
