UTICA, N.Y. - On Wednesday, November 23, Sister Rose Vincent Gleason, OSF, passed away peacefully at Jolenta Convent, Syracuse.

A Memorial Mass to honor Sister Rose Vincent has been scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2222 Genesee Street, Utica.

“We hope that many people throughout the area will be able to attend and pay tribute to Sister Rose Vincent,” said Richard Ketcham, the current President/CEO of St. Elizabeth Medical Center. “Sister touched the lives of so many individuals and organizations through her many years.”

It was Sister Rose Vincent’s wish to have her funeral in Syracuse as is the tradition of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities. She was such an important part of the Utica Community that it is important to have this tribute to her here, as well.
